Sunday Confessions 4

Sunday confessions on a Monday! Im such a rebel! Today I got up early and going to work at 10.30am meaning I had some more time to work alone in the house since Victor is already gone for his Wilderness First Aid course. Which means he will be able to save me if something happens in the wilderness – I have the coolest boyfriend in the world! Yesterday was work all day and I went early to bed. Anyways, I got something to confess: ♥ I haven’t worked out for a month. Which means if the zombie apocalypse starts here at the end of the world I am pretty fucked.[…]

Sunday confessions 3

My first confession must be that the reason for not making any “Sunday Confessions” for 3 weeks is because I have moved to Chile and been travelling around before heading to Puerto Natales where Victor and I are living now. So, here we go: ♥ I don´t own expensive things except for my computer (which I bought through eBay, refurbished) and my phone. I don´t like the feeling of being worried about material stuff and therefore not use it. I use my things to it break or get worn out. Oh.. and I am a very distracted person, meaning I often forget the things or just leave it somewhere carelessly. Ops..[…]

What surprises me about the Chileans / Lo que me soprende de los Chilenos

For Spanish scroll down / En Español ver más abajo! Disclaimer: These observations were made during 2 weeks in Chile in places like Santiago, Temuco, Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt during September. I am not saying this is typical for all Chileans or general situations that happen everywhere in Chile. I just write what I saw 🙂 Chileans have a serious problem with mayonnaise! They really like it and they put aloooot of it on their food like “completos” and sandwiches. Seems like it is as normal as having ketchup and mustard aside. Down jackets is the preferred kind of jacket. Mostly in black or blue. And they wear it outside[…]

You inspire me! Peter Hvidkjær: From unhappy desk work to adventures travels

I met Peter in 2015 when I started taking salsa classes. I still have the joy of dancing with Peter and today we have this internal “concept” we call “The association for tomfoolery” (in Danish: Foreningen for Tant og Fjas) where we basically make sure to go out and have fun and spread joy and happiness. Peter left his job in the age of 44 and has since been dancing, travelling around the world and has been working as a volunteer in a project for orphans in Tanzania. Peter does what many people only dream of: he´s living his life. Taking responsibility of own happiness, his stories and seeing him[…]

Sunday Confessions 2

Can´t believe it has already been a week since I make my Sunday Confessions 1 – it means time flies really fast now! Well, to specify: it means that I only have 8 days back in Denmark since I am leaving Monday the 12th of September! This week has been busy and with a lot of great experiences. During some of the days I have been working voluntary for Aarhus Festival, a 10 day long yearly event with art, music, theatre, speeches and all other kind of activities! It gave me some free tickets where I had the opportunity to invite one of my best friend to see a cabaret[…]

I am not escaping from Denmark. 11 days back!

I have less than 2 weeks back in Denmark and it means I really have to finish all my practical stuff that have been in a “I got plenty of time” category for a long time. Now Im suddenly like “damn! I am running out of time! Panic!”. I needed to terminate many of my subscriptions like “danmark” insurance, fitness membership and my home insurance. Then I have packed my things things in boxes and made decisions like what to bring and what to leave. It´s still in a process. I have ordered an extra credit card, bought Chilean pesos but still need to buy some things like a 33L backpacker. I still[…]

Sunday Confessions 1

I got inspired by Danica, who got inspired by another blogger who.. well I don´t know when or where it all started. Anyways! I got inspired to do Sunday Confessions as well! My idea is to make this a Sunday tradition and I would also love to hear your confessions – Please share! This is a guilt-free zone (I don´t hope is necessary to take these words back one day!) ♥ A dessert needs chocolate. That´s why cheese cake and all kind of pies dont have my interest. And I only eat biscuit if it contains chocolate. And if I want to eat unhealthy, please keep all kind of fruits[…]

This is not a quit-your-job-and-go-travel blog

Since I re-launched the blog I have had some different questions from people and I think maybe there has been some misinterpretations about me and the blog. So I will try to explain a little bit more about me and the purpose of the blog 🙂 This is not a travel blog. This blog is about inspiration. Inspiration comes in many shapes, not only by travelling though my big passion in life is travelling, meeting new people and explore other cultures. I rather by a trip somewhere in the world then buy a new car or have a fancy TV. There will be posts about travels, but it´s not only[…]

North of Denmark: Medieval days, a soon-to-disappear lighthouse and a Danish vineyard

I was lucky to borrow my sister’s car when she was on vacation in Croatia and we therefore went 2 days to the north. Victor is absolutely not a museum kind of guy; he prefers to take photos of things outside e.g. the surrounding nature, buildings, and animals. With this in mind we planned the activities for 2 days in the north of Denmark. Voergaard castle with medieval days First stop was Voergaard castle in Dronningelund. This week we were lucky that they had medieval days meaning that outside the castle there were people dressed out, trade stands, knight tournaments and activities for kids. It was amazing to see how people[…]
