You might be curious to know more about me since you clicked on “about me”. On my friend’s telephones, my name is Ninja-Nana or Salsa-Nana. Depending on the period of my life they got to know me. So well, you can call me a salsa-ninja queen! Have you ever met someone like me before? (if you have, please forward the number of this person).

MY NEW LIFE IN CHILE

In April 2016 I went 1 month to Colombia. Here I met Victor, my Chilean love, that I ended up married 7 months later. You can read more about that crazy love story HERE. In September 2016 I went to Puerto Natales, Patagonia – Chile to live with Victor and work during high season 2016-2017. In low season (May to September) we will be traveling and then come back for next high season in late September 2017.

FROM LEGO IT TO SHEEP FARMING

I have a background within IT and communication and my first job after graduation was in LEGO IT as a consultant. Moving to Chile I had to start all over. I started out working in an outdoor shop that has camping, mountaineering- and rock climbing gear. I sold gears and tours and it was a great way for me to get to know the tourism as a business, get to know the locals and the type of tourists they have here and improve my Chilean Spanish (which can be so hard to understand!).

In February 2017 I got the opportunity to be part of an amazing project: I am now working as sales- and marketing manager for one of the most beautiful ranches in Patagonia. The ranch Estancia La Peninsula is a sheep farm that only can be accessed by boat and its mission is to be the best ranches in Patagonia with a focus on great experiences, great service, sustainability and animal welfare. I, therefore, had to learn a lot about sheep, shearing and sheep farming! But it’s really interesting so I had no issues accepting the challenge 😉

MY BLOG AND WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT

My blog is my hobby and my goal is to become number 1 source of information about not only what to do and see in Patagonia Chile but also useful insider travel tips and recommendations!

It is not only going to be about Patagonia, Chile. My main focus is outdoor experiences, wildlife photography, and camping. No matter the place or country. So wherever we are traveling this is what we will focus on; where can we get great outdoor experiences! But! This blog is also personal meaning I write about other experiences as well.

MY COLLABORATION WITH VICTOR

Victor is a great outdoor photographer who takes amazing pictures and he helps me providing photos for my blog. Furthermore, he has a huge knowledge about outdoor life, wild animals and the nature in Patagonia because of passion and his work as an outdoor guide. I’ve always loved nature, but I think Victor sometimes looks at me like this white city girl who battles with the tent poles when we are camping (me pretending to have full control over 5-meter long tent poles. I’m sure it looks pretty). Lucky for me he has a lot of patience. I don’t consider myself as a city girl, but I got to admit that I am still a biiiiiit inexperienced when it comes to outdoor life! But I learn a lot from traveling with Victor and these experiences, adventures and travel hacks are something we want to share.

So are you all crazy about becoming an outdoor-ninja like me – stay tuned!
